Speech & Language

  • Children who are not yet using verbal speech

  • Children with delayed or disordered speech

  • Children who are having challenges planning speech

  • Children who have a motor speech disorder like apraxia or dyspraxia

  • Children who have an injury resulting in loss of speech such as traumatic brain injury

  • Children with language based disorders and challenges

Feeding

  • Children who are having trouble eating by mouth

  • Children with a history of reflux related eating challenges

  • Children who are having trouble transitioning through different textures (example purees to solids)

  • Children who are working on transitioning from tube to oral eating

  • Children who are working on taste trials of food

  • Children who need support with muscle movements of the oral motor system in order to prepare for eating by mouth

  • Children who have had challenges with feeding therapy in the past due to poor perceptions of eating

  • Children with facial anatomical differences

  • Children who are “picky” or “prefer” certain types of foods including texture, temperature and color

  • Children with myofunctional disorders for example thrust, tongue tie, lip tie.

  • Children with acquired traumatic brain injury resulting in swallowing impairment.
